The Country Club of Columbus was established in 1909 by a number of local citizens who shared a fondness for golf. These founders wisely engaged the design services of Donald Ross, arguably the era’s foremost golf architect. Ross designed a spectacular course calling for long, accurate tee shots, accurate iron play, precise handling of the short game and consistent putting.

Keeping true to Ross’ original vision, today the course stretches out to 6,515 yards on a par-71 layout. Its distinguishing feature are small, yet undulating TifEagle greens, protected by many strategically placed bunkers.

For decades, the Club has been a staple of the amateur golf scene both in the state of Georgia and beyond, developing a reputation among the premier layouts in the entire Southeast.

A true family club, the membership participates in a wide range of golf activities designed by Head Professional Ryan Williams and his staff to promote interaction among all members. The tournament schedule is ongoing throughout the year and is specifically designed to provide both fun and competition for golfers of all ages and levels. From the Member-Guest to weekly Couples Golf, honing your golf skills among family and friends is an enjoyable pastime for our golf membership. With strong attention to its junior golfers, the Club seeks to prepare your child for a lifetime of great golf by offering excellent summer camps for juniors of all ages and abilities.
